ANXIOUS

 2 * ANXIOUS

Make me understand the way of your commandments, so that I may meditate on your wonders. My soul melts with anxiety; Sustain me according to your word, psalm 119; 27 to 28

PHILIPPIANS 4: 6

Do not be anxious about anything, but let your requests be made known before God in all prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving.

1 PETER 5: 6 TO 7

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you when the time is ripe; casting all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.

MATTHEW 6: 19 TO 34

Do not lay up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moths and rust corrupt, and where thieves break and steal; but lay up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves neither mine nor steal. Because where your treasure is, there your heart will also be. For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be. The lamp of the body is the eye; so if your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light; But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be in darkness. So, if the light that is in you is darkness, how many will not be the same darkness? No one can serve two masters; for he or he will hate the one and love the other, or he will esteem the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. Therefore I say to you: do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor by your body, what you have to wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Behold the birds of the sky, they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you, no matter how hard he may be, can add one cubit to his stature? And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither work nor spin; But I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was dressed like one of them. And if the grass of the field that is today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, God dresses it like that, won't he do much more to you, men of little faith? Do not be anxious, then, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or what shall we wear? For the Gentiles seek all these things; but your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will bring its anxiety. His own evil is enough for each day.

PSALM 46

God is our refuge and strength, Our soon help in tribulations. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth is moved, And the mountains are transferred to the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains quake with its swelling. From the river its streams make glad the city of God The sanctuary of the dwellings of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; will not be moved. God will help her when morning dawns. Nations raged, kingdoms were shaken; He gave his voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; Our refuge is the God of Jacob. Selah Come, see the works of the Lord, Who has laid desolations on the earth. That he makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. That he breaks the bow, cuts the spear,
